The Gentle Barn Foundation establishing a new location in New York is so much more than just a new location. The Gentle Barn does not look to establish new locations just because they may think it's a good idea. They go when the right situation calls.
This time the situation is the carriage horse industry in the honor of the last horse, Ryder who went down in the streets of New York city a few months ago and has since been euthanized.
If you are not aware of the cruelty of this industry and the poor conditions these horse have to live in on a daily basis please educate yourself.
